Meet Lee Wardlaw, a 25-year old national college football recruiting reporter hailing from Columbia, South Carolina that graduated from his hometown school, the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.

Wardlaw, though, has been a published writer for over 12 years, beginning his journey at Bleacher Report in 2009. Since then, he's written for The Daniel Island News, Fits News, Cola Daily, South Carolina Public Radio, and a host of other publications.

Lee, who aims to become college football's No. 1 recruiting reporter, began his journey covering recruiting in Jan. 2021, where he attended a top 7-on-7 showcase at the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium, where he interviewed high school student-athletes that committed to colleges such as Texas, Ohio State, Tennessee, Michigan, and more.

Wardlaw wants to get a better picture of what these athletes are doing, asking them what fires them up to play the game, their lives off of the field, and of course, the golden question: what campus these talented teens will be cheered on by tens of thousands of fans for the next four seasons.

Wardlaw University follows players across the United States, and readers will follow the drama for top players on and off of the field via this Substack newsletter, a YouTube channel, and a podcast.

Wardlaw University has announced the creation of six state-themed and one school-themed brand(s), where we will focus our coverage: Cotton State Commits (A.L), Golden State Greats (C.A), Peach State Prospects (G.A.), Palmetto State Prospects (S.C.), Pelican State Prospects (L.A.), Pineapple State Prospects (H.I.) and Carolinacation (South Carolina Gamecocks.)

Student-athletes now have the power to transcend the sports that they play via name, image, and likeness via newly-enacted legislation nationwide. Wardlaw University will stand at the forefront of change, aiming to empower student-athletes from across the United States.

Wardlaw University has a wide variety of plans for stories and content as these young stars rise to the top of their game, so make sure you don’t miss our coverage.
